4WD Application Design

This kit is for the C6 4WD filter configuration used with a deep 4WD-style transmission pan and pickup-tube extension. The filter’s rubber grommet supports the pickup-tube connection at the filter opening.

C6 transmission pans and filters vary by drivetrain configuration and pan depth. Do not assume a 2WD, passenger-car, shallow-pan, or alternate deep-pan C6 filter will interchange with this 4WD kit. Recommended Service Use

Install during a routine fluid and filter service, pan-gasket replacement, or transmission rebuild. Inspect the removed filter and pan for unusual debris, check the pickup extension and sealing surfaces for damage, and remove old gasket material before installing the new nitrile pan gasket.
