Genuine GM soft parts kit for a complete TH700-R4 reseal or full rebuild. As a combo kit it covers the entire 1982 through 1993 production run, including both the early and later gasket configurations, so you do not have to identify your exact build year before ordering.

What This Kit Is For
Rebuilding or resealing a TH700-R4 or 4L60 that shows external fluid leaks, delayed or soft engagement, slipping under throttle, low line pressure, or converter clutch complaints caused by hardened, shrunken sealing components. Original equipment rubber and gasket material restores hydraulic integrity throughout the case, pump and valve body.

Fits GM rear wheel drive cars, trucks, vans and SUVs equipped with the TH700-R4 or 4L60 automatic, 1982-1993, including Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, Caprice, Impala, Monte Carlo, El Camino, Blazer, S10, S10 Blazer, Astro, Suburban, G-Series vans and C/K/R/V pickups; GMC Jimmy, S15, Sonoma, Safari, Syclone, Typhoon, Yukon, Suburban and full size pickups; Buick Roadmaster, Electra, LeSabre and Commercial Chassis; Cadillac Brougham, Fleetwood and Commercial Chassis; plus Oldsmobile and Pontiac Firebird applications using the same unit. Important Notes
This is a soft parts overhaul kit. Friction plates, steel plates, the 2-4 band, filter, bushings and hard parts are not included and are sold separately. If your fluid is dark or smells burnt, inspect the 3-4 clutch pack, the most common wear point on this transmission, and add a friction module or master kit as needed.

Builder Tips
Replace every seal supplied rather than reusing anything that still looks serviceable, keep the work area clean, and set the throttle valve cable correctly on reassembly. Incorrect TV cable adjustment is the number one cause of a freshly rebuilt TH700-R4 failing early.
