About This Part

This rear reverse band, also known as a low-reverse band, is designed for select Chrysler-family automatic transmissions. It is a 2-inch wide split or double-wrap band used in applicable V8 transmission configurations, excluding 273 V8 applications.

The band supports internal low-reverse holding operation. A worn, burned, cracked, or improperly adjusted band may contribute to delayed reverse engagement, reverse slipping, poor low-range operation, or repeat failure after a transmission repair.
