This is a high-quality Federal Mogul molded intermediate and overdrive servo piston compatible with Ford C3, A4LD, 4R44E, 4R55E, 5R44E, and 5R55E automatic transmissions. Designed to fit servo cover castings marked CA or CB with an inner diameter of 1.845", this piston is an exact-fit replacement for OEM part number E2ZZ-7D021-CA and cross-references E3ZZ-7D021-A.

The servo piston controls band application for both the intermediate and overdrive clutch circuits. A worn or failed piston causes delayed shifts, slipping between gears, loss of 2nd gear or overdrive engagement, and in severe cases can render the transmission unable to hold a gear under load. Replacing this piston restores proper hydraulic pressure and firm, consistent band engagement.

This molded piston is sold individually and fits either the intermediate or overdrive servo position. If replacing both, order two units.
