This genuine Ford solenoid is a #5 high variable-bleed design with a black nozzle. It is intended for 6F35 valve-body service only when the removed original solenoid matches the same #5 stamp, black nozzle, high variable-bleed configuration, and OEM reference number.

Solenoid band and flow calibration are critical. Do not substitute this part for a different black-nozzle solenoid with another stamped number, a brown-nozzle solenoid, or a normally-low configuration. Similar Ford solenoids may physically resemble one another but are not necessarily interchangeable.

Use during transmission valve-body repair after proper diagnosis identifies a failed, sticking, or electrically out-of-specification solenoid. Shift flare, harsh shifts, delayed engagement, slipping, and transmission fault codes may also be caused by wiring, connectors, valve-body wear, fluid condition, hydraulic faults, mechanical damage, or control-module issues.
