Over time, transmission fluid accumulates fine metallic particles, clutch material, and other contaminants that degrade fluid quality and restrict flow through the filter. This leads to symptoms including rough or delayed shifting, gear hunting, transmission slip, and elevated fluid temperatures that accelerate internal wear. Replacing the filter and pan gasket at each transmission fluid service interval is one of the most effective ways to extend transmission life and maintain consistent shift quality.

This kit includes a felt media transmission filter for high-efficiency fluid cleaning and a nitrile rubber pan gasket engineered to provide a durable, leak-resistant seal. The nitrile construction resists heat and automatic transmission fluid, maintaining a reliable seal under the thermal cycling conditions common to GM 6-speed transmissions.
