This shift shaft and seal kit is designed to correct leakage from the manual shift shaft seal area. It is a practical repair when the existing shift shaft has a scored, scratched, or worn sealing surface that prevents a replacement seal from sealing properly.

Common repair situations include:

• Fluid leakage at the manual shift shaft case seal

• Repeat leakage after seal replacement

• Shift shaft scoring or scratches

• Damage caused by contamination entering past an aged seal

• Seal-area damage caused by improper previous seal removal

• Case-bore wear or damage requiring the included O-ring repair option
