This hydraulic torque converter lock-up kit is designed for compatible GM TH700-R4 and early 4L60 automatic transmission valve bodies. It is intended for rebuild, retrofit, and transmission-swap applications where non-electrical torque converter clutch operation is desired.

Part Function

This kit converts a compatible transmission to hydraulic lock-up control. It can replace the need for the original electronically controlled lock-up solenoid, wiring, brake switch circuit, and ECM-operated torque converter clutch control system.

It is especially useful in compatible engine-swap or non-computer-controlled applications where factory electrical lock-up controls are unavailable, disconnected, or not being retained.

Selectable Lock-Up Calibration

The kit includes five different springs for lock-up speed selection. Spring choice and final lock-up timing should be selected during valve-body service based on the application, vehicle gearing, tire diameter, engine combination, and intended operating conditions.

This is an internal valve-body kit and requires pan removal and valve-body service for installation. The valve body must have the proper factory-machined passages and compatible TCC valve-train configuration. TH700-R4 and early 4L60 transmissions may use different valve-body designs, so do not rely on vehicle make, model, or year alone.
